This page explains what personal data L'Huile sur le Feu collects through this website, why, how long it is kept and how you stay in control of it.

1. Who is responsible

Sous l'Olivier srl, operating the restaurant L'Huile sur le Feu, Rue de Marchovelette 19, 5000 Namur, Belgium. Company number BE0892 858 175.

For any question about your data: info@lhuilesurlefeu.be or +32 81 24 19 03.

2. What we collect

Reservations: first and last name, e-mail address, phone number, number of guests, date and time, preferred language, and any notes you choose to add (allergies, occasion, special requests).

Contact form: name, e-mail address, phone number if you provide one, and the content of your message.

Newsletter: your e-mail address and chosen language, only if you sign up.

We collect nothing behind your back: every piece of information comes from a form you fill in yourself.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

To handle your reservation and send you its confirmation, a reminder before your visit and, where applicable, a change or cancellation: these are necessary to carry out the reservation you asked for.

To answer messages sent through the contact form: our legitimate interest in replying to you.

To send you the newsletter: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

To keep our accounts and meet our legal obligations where the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

Reservations and customer history are kept while the relationship is active, then deleted once they serve no further purpose.

Contact form messages are kept for as long as it takes to deal with your request.

Your newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe. Every mailing carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.

5. Who else has access

Our technical providers, solely to run the service: hosting of the website and database (within the European Union), and our e-mail provider for confirmations and the newsletter.

The site is administered by MOODD, which designs and maintains the management tool used by the restaurant.

We do not sell or rent your data. It is passed to no one else, unless the law requires it.

6. Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction, its erasure, the restriction of its processing, and its portability. You may also object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time.

A simple request to info@lhuilesurlefeu.be is enough: we reply within one month.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be.

7. Security

Access to the data is password-protected and limited to the restaurant staff who need it. Exchanges with this site are encrypted (HTTPS).

8. Changes

If this site or our practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top of the document amended accordingly.
